Originally born in Thompson, Manitoba, Canada, from a Portuguese family, Garry Vicente along with his mother and brother moved to Portugal when he was only 4 years old.

He then started his music journey with a high school rock band ("Estado Sónico"), as a guitar player. To let his own songs fly, he formed his own band called “Big Me”, greatly influenced by bands like the Foo Fighters, The Beatles, REM, The Cure, The Smiths and Lloyd Cole & The Commotions.

Returned to Canada in 2004 and currently based in Edmonton, Alberta, Garry is a songwriter, an open mic’s performer around the city. Sometimes he joins his acoustic jam band “The Narrators”, with which they released their first EP “Made of Moments” in 2015. Garry V is an independent producer in releasing his brand new EP “Songs To Somewhere”.
